Television can harm learning, finds study
This article of the guardian talks about Dr Aric Sigman's concern's about the negative impact of television on the childrens health, and he makes reference to his book "Remotely Controlled: How Television Is Damaging Our Lives".
According to Sigman, the results of his studies are alarming. He provides evidence as to how television contributes to the rising global obesity rate by actually slowing our metabolic rate, stunts our children's brain development, and is responsible for over half of all rapes and murders in the industrialised world.
His homepage: www.aricsigman.com
Very interesting, and confirms my feelings about it, without being an expert in the topic. I thing the "only seeng the action, but not living it" has a strong influence on keeping our body in "abstract/watching" mode, in stead of in "real/living" mode.
That are just some ideas comming in to my mind about it. Once I read the book I can say more.

Disposable Email, for avoiding SPAM
For when one wants to register in a website/forum, etc, and does not know if the site is trustable, or it will sell the email to a spamer: www.10minutemail.com
You get an email account for 10 minutes, use it, and then it is deleted, and you have no spam. I might be using it in future.

The World's Most Unusual Therapist
From the bleep.de newsletter I received a short version (in german) of The World's Most Unusual Therapist this article.
It talks about Ihaleakala Hew Len, a therapist in Hawaii who heals patients from distance, based on the Ho'oponopono.
The essence is:
"If you want to solve a problem, no matter what kind of problem, work on yourself."

911 Documentary
In http://educate-yourself.org/ I found a link to this video: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=7866929448192753501&hl=en
Its a very powerfull documentary about the September 11. If what is shown is true, then again: "Reality is far more crazy than what we are able to beleave" (or what we want to beleave).
A link to the homepage of the movie: http://www.loosechange911.com/
The documentary was started by Dylan Avery with age 18, on his laptop, setting up a fiction story which after the research tourned out to be true, and is growing very big.

Zattoo Online TV
News about global transformation
I hit this page: http://www.theglobalintelligencer.com/ and liked it very much on a first glance. The creator was inspired by his work in the film What the bleep do we know (which I can also recommend very much).
